Aims- the aim of the advertisements billboards and promotion is to raise awareness of the new season and give them ideas of what will be included and likely draw in new viewers and generate viewers from previous seasons to watch the new season but also introduce new viewers that may not have watched the previous season by advertising the actors seasons and the scenes that will be included.

Objectives- the objectives of advertising the tv show is to show the audience what the next season will be about and advertise the fact that there is a season due to come out and by doing this and sharing snippets and keeping viewers interested as to what will be in the next season they can increase viewing figures and persuade the audience interactions and viewings.

target audience - Bridgeton target audience is millennial females with an interest in periodic dramas and classic tv dramas with over 80% of the tv viewers being female and either millennial or older teenagers. the target audience is mainly females that consume romantic media whether that be romcom or television.

slogan- the slogan for season 3 of Bridgeton is 'even a wallflower can bloom' the idea of this slogan hints at the character and her personality. the charcter who is known for her shy character and quiet persona the slogan then gives hinting at the idea that her character will bloom and the relationships that she has within the show.

key messages - the key messages if this show are the diverts it explores and the usp the show has when displaying the empowerment of women In the periodic era where women would have had no power. the series explores key themes and explores the realities and empowerment of women in the upperclass society of the 1800s.

approach- enigmatic sexual approach is the way that the show targets its audience through creating tension and mystery both within the two trailers for part 1 and 2. for the trailers approach they focus on strong events that will happen in the season and giving them slight previews into key moments that will happen but only giving them a slight snippet to help keep them enticed and interested to watch.

call to action- the call to action for Bridgeton is their line of watch now on Netflix enticing the viewers of the trailer or any advertisement to go to Netflix to watch the tv show and then wait for th second half to come out and then follow along with the second half of the season that is later released

house and style consistency- the colours and fonts for the adverts remain consistent within all of them for each season sticking to a colour theme for each season that reflects the colours that each character wear and follow in. for example season 3 the key colours for Penelope an Collin are blue so the advertisements and consistently their outfits are blue.

representation- in Bridgeton there is a lot of representation of women and how they have some forms of power with does contradict the actual fact of the time period it was set in. though the show does contradict ad challenge the stereotypes of women back in that time.

campaign logistics- the campaign was done by splitting the season in half and advertising the 2 sections of it in 2 different trailers, released at different times with second trailer being released after the first half of the season had aired to mean that viewers would have some kind of idea about what was to happen in the show and the context behind some of the senes.

choice of media- predominantly Bridgeton uses social media and billboards to advertise their show due to the fact that the majority of their target audience is on social media and use3s the platforms that they choose to advertise on.

relevant ethical issues- when advertising and creating trailers the producers would have considered the sexual scenes that they advise ad reveal while also taking into consideration the age rating and there legalities hind what they can and cannot advertise.

advertising theory

shockvertisng

shockvertising because the video initially shows a group of happy teenagers with seemingly no issues happening but then the impact hits and the crash happens shocking the viewer. the aim of the advert was to scare people from texting and driving and the advert was likely effective cause it would install fear into a driver and by showing the aftermath its unlikely someone would do it.

celebrity Endorsement

that celebrity was likely chosen at that time because she was very popular escpecccialty with a wide spread general population that she appeals to and that the drink would too. the aim f the advert was likely to promote the sales of Diet Coke.

social media advertising
Khloe was likely chosen to promote the product not only because she has immense amount ion fame already but due to the fact that the product se is promoting would also fit ti her audience as well as the brands to help bring in her audience for the brand and the brands audience to her. the aim of the advert was to promote sales of the vitamins.

advertising campaign

to appeal the camping to younger generations the advent could change the way it promotes rather than fusing on the function of the product and how well in works to appal t younger generations change the advert to focus more on makingth mess and the dogs.

what mental health is discussed?

in the show I will be showing chapters with mental health issues such as anxiety depression and the main protagonist will suffer from PTSD and the themes and classic symptoms of these mental health issues will be displayed in the characters and the way in which they act.

I will likely make it more obvious to An audience what the mental health issues are and label them in the show so that the audience initially knows without being left int he dark about those things.  so when introducing the characters own slide two it will be given straight away labelling the mental health issues and the symptoms that he suffers from when having serious episodes of mental health. the way in which the mental health problems will be displayed also through the way that it affects the people around him and the people he sees in his day to day life including occasions inter tv how where he will miss out on parts of his education by not attending school and struggling to attend social events like kitty birthday that mean a lot to her and this inevitably causes issues within their relationship.

will the tv drama be themed as a romantic or toxic plot and will we want to characters to end up together?

the tv drama is a romantic plot as a young couple learns the ways and what relationships can involve and how they can lear from past mistakes they made during the relationships they have had in order to better the relationship between the two of them so its likely an audience will be rooting for them to end up together and be 'endgame'.

By adding flash backs of the couple happy and displaying good aspects to the relationship as well as showing an audience they are only toxic to themselves that affects each other rather than to each other so that an audience would want the to be together as apposed to apart as they support each other and themselves better when they are together. particular moment like Alfie struggling and kitty just being around him and it being a calming thing for him where he Is then able to sleep and relax due to her presence shows to the audience that they are bale to support one another with will make the audience root for them as a couple for the benefits of their own metal health.

is the mental health labelled because if it isn't it needs to be to explain to an audience?

the mental health aspect was initially going to to subtle and only show the main and key breakouts to an audience that ideally they would start to understand wha is happening to the characters and why they re acting the way they are.

to adapt this I will incorporate a scene that clearly will display to the audience that my character suffers from PTSD to help make is a staring out and labeled theme in the drama but also make sure that the audience can see through his actions like missing family occasions and other events in the show the show how his mental health effects his actions and the way he lives his life when in production of the show and on set I will aim to have a mental health representative to ensure that the issues can be portrayed accurately and correctly to help an audience see the realities of the issues In ways like my character isolating himself from support around him and not leaving the home or accepting aid from kitty.

will Alfie and kitty be the main focal point of the tv show?

the two characters will be the main focus of the drama and after feedback I think its probably more important to focus on their drama romance and plot rather than overcomplicating it with other character and plot lines that may distract from the main plot and themes.

to adapt my show I will likely adapt some episodes and aspects of the drama t ensure that the main plot doesn't become overtaken by back storylines that are going on and ensure that there is no audience following any other plot but kitty and Alfies in the show the adaptation would be done by including more scenes of the couple and creating Sasha and Emma as more of supporting background characters. the characters will likely not appear to have their own scenes for lengthy durations of time unless they are discussing kitty and Alfie or doing something that would relate to the eg going out with Alfie to buy kitty birthday presents. this will ensure that these characters are entirely background characters and in no way have the own plot line or as important of a narrative that kitty and Alfie do with their romance and metal health.

how are you going to use the cliffhanger is it need to be explained better to the audience?

the cliffhanger at the end will show the couple in a heated argument with suggestive accusations being made from both parties and the season will end on a powerful line that will be shcoking but also confusing to the audience so that ideally they will watch to the nest season in hopes that they will be forced t watch the next season to explain what is happening and what has happened.

I will not change the last scene to explain the argument and display the entire thing as it wouldn't create a strong enough cliffhanger for the show to gain viewers on the next season by explaining the argument and plot that caused the argument would inevitable spoilt the cliffhanger as an alternative I will display to the audience 3 different potential causes that could have created the conflict and the audience can make their choice as to what they believe it would have been the 3 potential issues will be flashbacks of certain scenarios that were displayed throughout the show and will be given slightly more contextual to ensure that there is enough context for the audience to create their own personal conclusion of what they believe caused the argument and conflict between the pair.

how would you avoid controversy's about such a sensitive topic like mental health like what happened in 13 reasons why?

in my tv show I do tackle sensitive and tough topics but I didn't consider the potentially dangerous affects that the content could have on a young or passive audience of the tv show.

To avoid the controversy I will add help lines and phone numbers that would provide help of the audience if they needed it at any point of watching the show author end of each episode a small clip will display one of the actors sharing a heartfelt and motivational message on seeking help and how It is so important that if ay of the themes in the episode affected them then they should seek help. along with routes that people can take to offer support we will also try to ensure that all actors and staff are made aware of support themselves that they may need after acting out such a role with sensitive issues like the ones raised in their characters.

could captive be brought In for Sasha and Emma a-swell so there aren't too many flashbacks?

the themes of captive and toxic can be explored for these two characters currently and can use kitty as an advisory for them as she will have learned from past mistakes and themes of her previous relationships so she can aid the two girls in their relationship and improving their relationships now.and allowing them to seek help in ways that kitty and Alfie never did showing an audience ways to resolve it rather than avoid it along with normalising the fact that some relationships are better apart.

To ensure that there aren't too many flashbacks and parts of the show that display the past rather than the current relationships I will ensure that the characters themselves explain past scenarios  to the quince rather than having do display them for example "you must remember that Alfie..." from side characters to make sure that the audience sees the past mistakes but more focuses on the changes that have been made to the characters behaviour and the way in which the relationship works. the first season can display the love and relationships of Kitty and Alfie while introducing the characters of Emma and Sasha that will be the main protagonists of further seasons and by intruding them and parts their personality and plot their storyline can continue in later seasons and be able to look at how Emma struggles with her sexuality and how Sasha as her best friend is able to offer that support as kitty and Alfie will then further become the background characters that the audience recognise and find joy in occasionally seeing in scenes of Sasha and Emma. inspired by the way Bridgeton uses its series to focus on a. variation of characters.

Overall the pitch delivered was successful in more confidence and less nerves than the original practice pitch so the delivery was far smoother and consistent. the feedback that was given from Jeremiah was able to be responded to and questions that he had around characters and the narrative of the plot I was able to respond and answer them fully with the knowledge of delivering the narrative and what would be effective for the tv show. with adaptations made to the powerpoint I was able to deliver the presentation without having to constantly refer to the screen and take focus off the delivery of the pitch.

reflective paragraph

Overall the pitch delivered was successful in more confidence and less nerves than the original practice pitch so the delivery was far smoother and consistent. the feedback that was given from Jeremiah was able to be responded to and questions that he had around characters and the narrative of the plot I was able to respond and answer them fully with the knowledge of delivering the narrative and what would be effective for the tv show. with adaptations made to the powerpoint I was able to deliver the presentation without having to constantly refer to the screen and take focus off the delivery of the pitch.

adaptations that would be made to the pitch
when delivering the pitch I will ensure that I deliver it more confidently and work knowing what Is on each slide to ensure that when I deliver the slide I am not losing focus or the track of where am in the delivery of it and it can done more smoothy and the delivery can be clear and confident to avoid any confusion on thees or carters that nay be raised as questions after the delivery of the pitch

feedback questions

are all the relationships in the show going to be based on kitty's and her relationships with the characters?

each episode will have a slightly different perspective with one ep[psiode exploring kitty's relationships and family dynamics and then the following episode will explore Alfies family dynamics and his relaionahips along with the main relationship from his perspective. then the episodes will contain alternate perspectives and 3rd person perspectives. with Sasha and Emmas frisnhip running as a background narrative.

where does the captive part come in ?

the show will contain many flashbacks and reflect on the issues they had when they were previously together and mistakes they made the first time around. it will look at the toxicity with not just each other but the people around them aswell family and friendships, and how as they grow and change as people they can learn from their past 'captive behaviours'

could captive be brought In for Sasha and Emma a-swell so there aren't too many flashbacks?

the themes of captive and toxic can be explored for these two characters currently and can use kitty as an advisory for them as she will have learned from past mistakes and themes of her previous relationships so she can aid the two girls in their relationship and improving their relationships now and allowing them to seek help in ways that kitty and Alfie never did showing an audience ways to resolve it rather than avoid it along with normalising the fact that some relationships are better apart.

would sex education also be an inspiration for your show following Otis and mauves theme?

following the ideas they had in this show I will do a similar take on it where there are other relationships and themes following in the background but the main relationship is what grips the audience. and use the characters as inspiration for the personalities of the charters in my show.

how would you bring in that comedic aspect could you bring in a comedic character?

the charter of Emma will be the comedic relief character with aspects of humour and comedic stupidity for the audience. her comedy will be inspired by Eric the character in sex education who was again able to bring comedy into a show that also explored challenging  and sensitive themes. but his character also has a storyline himself with challenging topics and storylines that are going to inspire what my characters go through.

how will the budget afford such an expensive artist?

to use the songs the budget will include paying for the rights too cover the song as an alternate to paying for the actual artists song and their singing. due too the music being so expensive up and coming artists will be so helpful in maintaining a lower budget and being able to have music that is a part of the show and matches the narrative and the themes in the show.

potential other questions

how do you display diversity in your show?
To display diversity there are a range of characters in the show some being part of the lgbtq community as part of the bbc3 ethos and themes that are often in their shows and dramas.

what other media texts inspired your production?
tv dramas like euphoria and sex education are key dramas that were my inspiration due to the issues they raised and the narratives they represented.

what's the aim of the tv show?
the aim of my tv show is to raise awareness and also encourage speaking up on the issues and help show an audience where they can seek help for the issues they have.

is there potential for multiple seasons?
the season will end on a cliffhanger of the couple in an argument meaning that there will be another season that can carry on from it and continue to show the relationship and its dynamics through further seasons.

are you worried that people won't like the protagonist ?
the main protagonist will make mistakes and seem to go through tough issues and do things that would make them not want to favour the character but I feel as though the audience would take pity on the character and choose to like them.

reflection on practice pitch.
When delivering the pitch I was visibly nervous and in some cases stumbled over my words and in some cases due to this missed off certain parts of my pitch that I want to say and wasn't able to relay them clearly to explain it. when questioned based on the tv drama and what it may include I was able t justify why things were set out in a certain way and why I would be doing things in a way that would benefit the quality of the tv show. I was able to answer all questions entirely will confidence. though when delivering my pitch I was constantly looking down to the laptop and reading from the screen when deleting this means that in future I would need to learn more what will be on the slides as apposed to reading from them.
