To conform to the style of soul and blues music videos I will use a combination of dark scenes with low lighting and scenes involving the outdoors and close shots to convey emotion in the characters, but I will subvert the performance aspect of the genre and instead focus on a narrative style of music video and instead uses styles that would be seen as like all too well by Taylor swift. I will use lighting and different styles of lighting to help further convey emotion helping reflect the characters feelings and how that needs to be portrayed in my video.
Costumes of all the actors will consist of dark clothes and majority black clothing and the makeup of all actors will be as minimal as possible with a dark eye to help convey the lack of organisation and being put together and a lack of caring for themselves. The clothing will also reflect the mood of the scenes so in flashback scenes of the two girls happy and together they will be wearing comfier and more colorful clothes to help reflect their comfort and emotions in that scene. Whereas in scenes of one of my characters alone the color of the scene and the contuses will reflect that emotion with dark colures and low lighting.
