the above image shows by unedited footage and all the clips in one format before any edits and cuts have been made to the clips. I first imported the song before adding all of the clips into the Final Cut Pro after reviewing all the footage and deciding which clips were usable and which were not. with all f the unedited footage my video came to roughly 7 minutes long meaning a lot of the clips needed to be cut down to meet the 3:45 song. when revising the footage I have decided that a lot of my clips particularly the memories of the two girls together that I filmed will be edited to black and white and cut down to create a montage like effect of the clips together.

I uploaded my clips to Final Cut Pro and firstly matched them to the correct timings and music then decided that the brighter clips that showed memory's of the two friends was best presented black and white to help it really display that it was not a present time and then the clips of the girl alone I have added a blue tinted overlay to help create a dark and cold feel to the clips.

I uploaded more scenes to Final Cut Pro and edited those to match the music and again adjusted the lighting and speed of the clips to enhance the emotion in them and again chose black and white for the scenes that had the two best friends together then choose for the scenes of the girl alone to be in colour to show the difference between past and present

to help with my music video I used some clips from stock footage to add to my music vide these clips helped bring to life moments like the funeral that I wouldn't have been able to film myself. these clips I choose to be in colour due to the fact that it was to show the present day events.

in the music video I have started to create more of a flash back feel by ensuring all of my videos that have one of protagonist in are in black and white to help ensure that there is a clear difference between then and now in my clips. in my clips of the past and the combination of all of them together I will be using a fading out transition to create a cinematic experience so it would appear to the viewer they are watching what looks like a montage of memories.
I shortened down some of the clips at the graveyard to create a montage like effect the clips to ensure that none of the footage drags on for too long and that each clip had emphasis on the motion that they showed I made sure that the lighting remained bright enough to help see everything in the clip and no added visual changed needed to be made to lighting or transitions in the footage.
I have chosen clips of an over the shoulder perspective to allow a viewer to feel as though they are getting an up close perspective in the clip and seeing it from the characters point of view. the lighting is bright whereas the characters colours are dark to show the contrast within the people and their surroundings. it helps show how the outside and the outer world is moving on and is still bright but she is still attached to the dark and sadness.
